Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

1. Introduction

Bridge ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

By using Bridge, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the application.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. Your password is stored in encrypted form and is never accessible to us.

Usage Data: We collect information about how you use the app, including features accessed, session duration, and interaction patterns. This data is anonymized and used solely to improve the app experience.

User Content: Text you enter into Bridge — including phrases, reflections, and journal entries — is processed to provide AI-generated insights. This content is associated with your account and stored securely.

Partner Session Data: When you use the Partner Share feature, the phrases and reflections shared in a session are temporarily stored to enable the real-time sync feature. Session data is deleted 30 days after creation.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. AI and Data Processing

Bridge uses a specialized third-party AI service to generate insights from your submitted content. When you submit a phrase or reflection, it is sent to that provider's servers for processing under their standard API terms. Their privacy policy governs their handling of this data.

Your submitted content is not used to train AI models. It is used only to generate the specific insight you requested and is retained by the AI provider only for the short period required to fulfill your request.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored using Firebase, a Google Cloud service, with industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256).

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Journal entries are stored locally on your device and in your Firebase account. You may delete them at any time within the app.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@hellobridge.app. We will respond within 30 days.

Account Deletion: You may delete your account and all associated data directly within the app by going to Account → Delete my account. This action is permanent and irreversible.

When you delete your account, all personal data — your name, email, sessions, journal entries, follow-up threads, support messages, and audit logs — is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days. Aggregate, non-identifiable product metrics (such as retention counts, average ratings, and total session duration) may be retained for analytics.

Data Export: If you would like a copy of the personal data we hold before deleting your account, email privacy@hellobridge.app. We will fulfill the request within 30 days.

In-App Support: You can also reach us through the app at Account → Reach us. Messages you send this way are stored in our support system alongside the same aggregate metadata described in the section above, and are deleted with the rest of your data upon account deletion.

7. Children's Privacy

Bridge is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

8. Third-Party Services

Bridge relies on third-party service providers to operate. All are US-based and contractually required to maintain equivalent security and data-handling standards.

Each provider is governed by their own privacy policies. If you wish to know the specific companies involved — for example, to make a data subject request or verify their handling standards — contact us at privacy@hellobridge.app and we will share the details.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, by sending a notification through the app.

Continued use of Bridge after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
